New York, NY – Diamond Council of America (DCA), a non-profit organization that provides quality, affordable distance education and the opportunity to earn professional certifications in diamonds, colored gemstones, and fine jewelry sales, has announced that Annie Doresca will be named President & CEO on January 1, 2026, following the retirement of long-time President & CEO Terry Chandler.
Annie E. Doresca, who currently serves as Executive Vice President of DCA, was selected by the DCA Board of Directors for her leadership skills, business acumen, and her passion for the growth of DCA.

I have been honored to work closely with Terry for so many years, particularly since our organizations became affiliated and I have learned so much about this important part of the jewelry business. I am confident that my background will support a seamless transition as we focus on helping more jewelry businesses provide valuable jewelry education to make their operations more profitable.”
Annie E. Doresca is a distinguished professional in the financial and nonprofit sectors, holding the position of Chief Financial and Operating Officer at Jewelers of America since July 17, 2008. Her commitment to diversity and inclusion in the jewelry industry is demonstrated by her role as the Founding President of the Black in Jewelry Coalition.
Before joining Jewelers of America, Ms. Doresca contributed her skills and expertise to BTQ Financial as a Client Manager. Her career in the nonprofit
sector also includes serving as Manager of Advisory Services for the Nonprofit Finance Fund, focusing on strengthening the financial health of nonprofit organizations through strategic communications and marketing strategies.
She is active on several boards, such as the Jewelers Vigilance Committee, Jewelers Security Alliance, Jewelers Board of Trade, and Women’s Jewelry Association Foundation. Additionally, she extends her community service by serving as a Trustee for the Baldwin Union Free School Board District. Ms. Doresca is also a member of the 24 Karat Club.

The DCA Board of Directors were careful to consider the organization’s mission and maintain its commitment to serving the jewelry industry with excellence during the selection process. There will be a seamless leadership transition, allowing DCA members and students to focus solely on their business growth.
Annie will continue to serve as Jewelers of America’s Chief Financial and Operating Officer.
