DCA was founded as a forum to educate jewelry sales professionals and provide quality, affordable distance education that enhances sales associates’ ability to sell fine jewelry with expertise, integrity, and professionalism.

DCA offers jewelers the opportunity to earn professional certifications in diamonds, colored gemstones, and fine jewelry sales through distance education. DCA has more than 350 members representing over 2,900 jewelry stores in the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

As a retail sales professional in the fine jewelry industry, your job is to aid customers in purchasing decisions with both their heads and their hearts – combining the objective facts of pieces while also conveying the subjectiveness of beauty and emotion. For more than seventy years, the DCA’s educational courses have taught students how to achieve this complex and critical combination, thus enabling them to reach higher levels in their careers.
